Charlie was a sweet and cuddly boy. He was blind but always goes boldly forward, even if there happens to be a wall in front of him. He would cheerfully bounces off and keeps on going, though! Charlie was very affectionate and thrives on butt skritches and bellyrubs.

Nora was a very sedate older girl. She was friendly but not particularly affectionate and did not have much interest in play behavior. She was extremely food-motivated and had a high prey drive, which explains concerns about cats and very small dogs. After initially greeting most dogs, though, she’d just ignore them. She was not particularly food-possessive, though that could vary based on the other dog. Nora did have some medical issues. She had liver cancer (diagnosed June 2022). She was on prescription food for that (Hills Prescription K/D) and Denmarin tablets daily. She also had Addison’s Disease, treated by a prednisone pill every three days and a monthly shot of Percorten V. Finally, she had minor incontinence, held 100% in check by daily doses of Proin tablets. She’d gobbles down the Proin happily (catching them out of the air) and would eagerly eat up the other pills with a bit of peanut butter.

Sugar was fun, loving, gentle, loved cuddling, and loved walks. She lived up to her name, very sweet.
